Questions I’ve come across:

I want to purchase a pre-made or custom cover art. How do I begin?

Email me and I’ll send you a cover request form. I’ll answer any questions and give you an estimated time of delivery. Once you’ve filled out the questionnaire, I can begin the design. When I’m finished, I’ll email you the cover art. You’ll check it over and let me know your thoughts. If there are any changes to be made, I’ll implement them and send the cover back over. When we have final approval, I’ll send you several different sizes. At some point during this process, I’ll send you an invoice via PayPal. Payment needs to be made at time of delivery. (Cover art and graphics cannot be “revealed” or uploaded to a vendor before the work has been paid for.)

How much does it cost?

Do you resell cover art designs?

No, my cover art designs are original designs and are only sold once. I do use royalty-free stock images from stock photo sites, so you may see the images I use on other covers.

Do you design full covers with a spine and the back for CreateSpace and Ingram Spark?

Yes. Please contact me for details.

What are your hours of operation? When can I reach you?

This is my full-time gig, but I really, really try to take evenings, weekends, and major holidays off to spend time with family and rejuvenate. All other times, I’m pretty good about responding to emails. Of course, email systems aren’t always reliable (and neither is my memory!), so if you haven’t heard back from me within 24 hours, feel free to email me again.

 

Can I use my cover art to make my own (or hire someone to make) promotional material?

Yes. But please refer to the images’ license for any other use.

 

Should I have my story professionally edited before publishing?

In my personal opinion, yes, please. You don’t need to have the editing done before I design your front cover. In fact, your story doesn’t even need to be finished. But I highly recommend having your story professionally edited before publishing, including the back cover blurb.
